2023 ATHENA Leadership Awards Program

ATHENA Akron, Inc. will honor the 2023 ATHENA Leadership Award Recipients and Finalist Honorees at a dinner and awards program on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn. The event recognizes exemplary women leaders for their professional achievement, community involvement, and for actively assisting women in reaching their full leadership potential. This year’s Leadership Award recipients will join more than 80 local women leaders who have been honored as Recipients or Finalists of this important award.

Join us as we honor Quinnie Lane, Change Manager-Global IT, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and Towanda Mullins, Chair, Sojourner Truth Project – Akron and Signet Jewelers, Legal Department with the 2023 ATHENA Leadership Award.

Finalist Honorees include Sherri Bevan Walsh, Summit County Prosecutor, Summit County Prosecutor’s Office; and Cynthia Snider, Executive Director, Tuesday Musical Association.

The recipient to be honored with the 2023 ATHENA Young Professional Award is Sara Shookman, Founder, Storyglow Studio. Award Finalist Honorees include Gia Bell, Chief Program Officer, JRC; Sarah Vojtek, President and CEO, Stewart’s Caring Place; and Louise DiLullo, Director – Major Gifts and Capital Campaign, Humane Society of Summit County.

Also being honored this year with the ATHENA Organizational Award is Access, Inc.

Registration and networking begins at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 5:30 p.m. The evening’s program will be led by Traci Buckner, Executive Director, Akron Childrens Museum, President of ATHENA Akron, and 2019 Recipient of the ATHENA Leadership Award. The keynote speaker will be Laurie Zuckerman, Owner, Zuckerman Consulting Group, Inc., and 2014 Recipient of the ATHENA Leadership Award.
